Komo Joins Hawaii Community FCU Board

KAILUA KONA, Hawaii– Hawaii Community Federal Credit Union (HCFCU) is honored to announce the addition of Russell Komo to its board of directors.

Mr. Komo is currently store manager for Long’s Drugs / CVS Pharmacy in Keauhou, where he has been for the past 10 years. He has been with Long’s Drugs for more than three decades years. Board members are elected by Hawaii Community Federal Credit Union members and serve on a voluntary basis. They are responsible for providing direction to staff in order to meet members’ financial needs, as well as maintain the sound fiscal condition of the credit union.

“We are so pleased that Russell has joined our board of directors,” said Tricia Buskirk, President and CEO of HCFCU. “His dedication to West Hawaii residents, along with his broad experience makes him another valued addition to the credit union organization.”

Mr. Komo graduated from University of Hawaii at Manoa with a BA in communication.  For more than 25 years Mr. Komo has volunteered with the American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) and is certified as a National Referee.  Mr. Komo is also a board member for the Ho‘opa Volleyball Club in Kailua Kona.
