Kids' Portraits Greet Members

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Despite the weary winter weather, members entering the main branch of Central Macomb Community Credit Union are being greeted with approximately 40 smiles.

The smiles are the work of students in kindergarten, first and second grade at McGlinnen Elementary School students, who painted self-portraits that are now brightening the walls and windows of the credit union. At the Sterling Heights branch, Fillmore Elementary students used warming colors of blue and purple geometric style artwork mimicking icicles.

The Chesterfield branch received art from Green Elementary featuring warm winter mittens, hand-made snowmen and yummy snow ice cream cones.

Lastly, the Selfridge branch features art from the Bryant Child Development Center on base. Preschoolers submitted some of their ‘self-expression’ chalk drawings.

“Bringing student art into the branches brightens the day for our members and staff, and we enjoy seeing the artists visit their work in our branches,” said Drema Isaac, president/CEO. “We’d like to make this an annual event for the community to enjoy the work of these young artists.”
