FORT WASHINGTON, Penn. — Residents of Springfield Township and their kids will soon be able to play GaGa, a variant of dodgeball, in Jane Lownes Park, thanks to a $500 grant received from TruMark Financial Credit Union.
The construction of the GaGa pit is a special Eagle Scout project that the township is sponsoring and will be an enhancement to the playground.
The grant is part of the credit union’s Concern for Community initiative which supports local organizations with special projects as well as providing resources for their clients. In June, in addition to Jane Lownes Park, the following organizations received a $500 TruMark Financial grant to use for new playground equipment and improvements:
- Camp Dreamcatcher, Chester County
- Smith Memorial Playground, Philadelphia
- St. Edmonds Home, Montgomery County
- Willow Knoll Park, Bucks County
