Keesler FCU, NewGround Partner to Help Tornado Victims

HATTIESBURG, Miss.–Keesler FCU here recently joined with St. Louis-based design-build firm NewGround to help those affected by a recent tornado.

The Jan. 21 tornado went through southern Mississippi, centering on the cities of Hattiesburg and Petal. Keesler Federal Credit Union jumped into action to provide support to the areas. “As an organization that is passionate about making a difference in the communities they serve, NewGround was pleased to match Keesler Federal Credit Union’s donation for the relief effort,” the company said in a statement.

“NewGround believes in making a difference by helping to build communities. We were honored to work with our partner, Keesler Federal Credit Union, to provide support for those affected by the recent tornado in Mississippi,” said Kevin Blair, president and CEO of NewGround.

Added Sharon Keller, VP of Marketing for Keesler Federal Credit Union, “One of Keesler Federal’s fundamental principles is to give back to our members and to the communities we serve.
