CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa–Collins Community Credit Union, headquartered in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, announces the appointment of Karl Cassell to the current nine person board of directors.
Karl Cassell is the President and CEO for Horizons, A Family Service Alliance. Horizons runs the largest local Meals on Wheels program (second largest in the state), and also provides services in the areas of Mental Health & Wellness, Financial Health & Wellness, Neighborhood Transportation Service, Community health & Nutrition, and Family Support Programs. Prior to joining Horizons in 2013, Cassell served as the Executive Director of the Cedar Rapids Civil Rights Commission for four years.
In addition to sitting on the board of directors for Collins Community Credit Union, Cassell sits on the boards for the Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation, St. Luke’s Methodist
