MIAMI LAKES, Fla.– JetStream Federal Credit Union is again partnering with the Center for Financial Training and Miami Dade College for its annual Future Bankers’ Camp Program. This program provides a hands-on experience for high school students interested in careers in the financial industry.
The program includes a two-week educational track at Miami Dade College and a two week internship at a financial institution. The educational track includes teller and customer service training. The last two weeks are spent learning and working in a financial institution. After successful completion of the program, the students receive the ABA Bank Teller and Customer Service Rep Certificates followed by a graduation ceremony.
Students who graduate will earn summer school credits and can apply for dual enrollment credits toward an associate degree in financial services.
“This internship program offers students real life work experience at a credit union, while helping promote financial literacy for them and their families,” said Vanessa Miranda, JetStream’s AVP of Human Resources.
