MIAMI LAKES, Fla.--JetStream Federal Credit Union has promoted Vanessa Miranda to AVP of Human Resources and Community Outreach.
Miranda has held the position of Human Resources Manager since July 2016. She began her career with JetStream in 2013 as the CDFI Manager, assisting with grants, community outreach and business lending, the CU said.
“Vanessa has been very successful in managing the dual roles of human resources and community outreach,” said Jeanne Kucey, President and CEO. “Under Vanessa’s leadership, JFCU has improved automation of HR processes, strengthened and expanded feedback channels, and ensured competitive employee compensation and benefits. I am confident in her ability to continue to address our future needs, including further automation, improvement of recruitment and talent management, and facilitation of a highly engaged workforce that supports our growth goals.”
Under Miranda’s direction JetStream has won several CDFI grants totaling over $3 million.
"These grants have assisted JFCU’s membership with small business loans and hurricane recovery. She oversees all grant data collection and governmental reporting requirements. Additionally, Miranda works with several low income community groups and charitable organizations on a multitude of projects with an emphasis on bilingual financial literacy education," the CU said.
Miranda received her MBA with a concentration in Human Resource Management from Nova Southeastern University in 2016. Prior to that Miranda earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from Florida International University.
