LOWELL, Mass.–Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union’s support for Catie’s Closet has now hit the road as the credit union has sponsored the organization’s van wrap. Once plain white, the cargo van is now covered in Catie’s Closet signature colors of light blue and green and contains the Catie’s Closet and Jeanne D’Arc logos with an inspirational mission statement spread across the side.
“We were looking for a way to communicate our mission while we were on the road and to inspire the communities we drive through to get involved,” said Mickey Cockrell, Executive Director of Catie’s Closet. “Jeanne D'Arc Credit Union is deeply rooted in the community and their support of the community is very visible.”
The van is used to deliver clothing and toiletry items to restock closets, as well as to collect donations from drives hosted by Catie’s Closet partners. The organization currently provides 37 in-school closets in Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire where students in need can shop for clothing and toiletries free of charge, the credit union reported.
“Catie’s Closet does such amazing work to provide students with what they need to succeed,” said Mark S. Cochran, President and Chief Executive Officer of Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union. “We are thrilled to have the opportunity to support them in such a fun way,” he added.
Jeanne D’Arc said that while many members of the community may have heard of Catie’s Closet, the wrapped van allows their mission to be acknowledged in a more widespread way. The eye-catching van wrap, designed by Raoust+Partners, has already inspired community members to volunteer, and Cockrell hopes that it continues to raise awareness of the organization.
