Jeanne D'Arc Staff Perform Another 'Small Act That Gives Back'

LOWELL, Mass. – Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union closed out its 2019 “Small Acts That Give Back” initiative with a Small Act at Fletcher Street Market Basket in Lowell, Mass.

For the second consecutive year, credit union employees surprised shoppers with a Market Basket gift card and a Jeanne D’Arc tote bag to assist with their shopping.

“We implemented our Small Acts That Give Back initiative to make a difference in the lives of our community members in various ways,” said Mark S. Cochran, president and Chief Executive Officer of Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union. “Our trip to Market Basket was a great way to not only conclude our Small Acts for the year but to help make the holiday season even brighter for our neighbors,” he added.

Through Small Acts That Give Back, introduced in 2018, the Credit Union performs random acts of kindness for members, employees, and community members. In 2019, Jeanne D’Arc paid for breakfast and coffee for café visitors’, paid a total of $985 in members’ heating costs, awarded $1,250 to local Hometown Heroes, granted $500 in ExxonMobil® gift cards, and performed other in-branch giveaways, including beach balls on the First Day of Summer and animal crackers on National Animal Crackers Day.
