LOWELL, Mass. – Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union has announced the final winner of its 2019 Give-A-Click campaign: Friends of the Cameron Senior Center. The organization, located in Westford, Mass., received a $1,500 donation from the credit union’s We Share A Common Thread Foundation.
The Give-A-Click program runs quarterly on the We Share a Common Thread Foundation website (WSACT.com). Community members visit the site, learn about the worthy non-profit contestants, and cast their vote for the one they would like to support. The organization with the most votes at the end of the quarter is awarded a $1,500 donation from the Foundation.
Friends of the Cameron Senior Center is a volunteer non-profit organization that provides financial support to the center so that it can offer activities, classes, special events, fundraisers and more.
“We would like to thank Jeanne D’Arc for giving us this opportunity, as well as the We Share A Common Thread Foundation,” said Barbara Upperman, President of the Friends of the Cameron Senior Center. “The check we received will help us continue to provide for the members of the center.”
To promote the organization’s participation in the Give-A-Click program, the Friends encouraged on-the-spot votes by creating badges for staff and volunteers that displayed the campaign information.
Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union was also honored to feature Merrimack Valley YMCA and On The Move, Inc. as nominees in the 2019 fourth quarter Give-A-Click campaign.
The 2020 contest kicked off on Jan. 1st with the following organizations vying for the next donation: Socratic, Inc.; Dracut Historical Society; and Pregnancy Care Center.
