Jeanne D'Arc Names Winner of Give-A-Click Campaign

LOWELL, Mass. – Jeanne D’Arc Credit said Joni & Friends New England is the winner of its latest Give-A-Click campaign. The organization received a $1,500 donation from the Credit Union’s We Share A Common Thread Foundation.

The Give-A-Click program runs quarterly on the We Share a Common Thread Foundation website (WSACT.com). Community members visit the site, learn about the worthy non-profit contestants, and cast their vote for the one they would like to support. The organization with the most votes at the end of the quarter is awarded a $1,500 donation from the Foundation.

Second quarter winner, Joni & Friends New England, is a Christ-centered organization located in Londonderry, N.H. that serves families and individuals impacted by disabilities through various supportive programs and outreach efforts.

“It is really exciting that we won,” said Tim Lafferty, area director of Joni & Friends New England. “We are thrilled to be the recipient of this donation through the We Share A Common Thread Foundation.”

Lafferty says the $1,500 donation will be used as a scholarship to send a family of four to one of the organization’s family summer retreats in August. Family retreats are one of the several programs that Joni & Friends offers. Twenty-five families spend five days in a camp environment and enjoy daily worship, teaching, crafts, and recreation, as well as family-oriented activities such as talent shows, camp fires, concerts and carnivals.

Joni & Friends New England shared its participation in Give-A-Click on social media and through email blasts to reel in votes, and also encouraged other Joni & Friends locations to share.

“We are honored to announce Joni & Friends New England as our second quarter Give-A-Click winner,” said Mark S. Cochran, president and Chief Executive Officer of Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union. “Joni & Friends is a wonderful resource for families in our area who are impacted by disability.”

Separately, Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union was also honored to feature Si, Se Puede and Central Food Ministry of Lowell in the second quarter campaign.

The third quarter contest kicked off on July 1st with Nashua Center and Friends of the Dracut Elderly vying for the next donation.
