Jeanne D'Arc Awards Funds to 5 Organizations

LOWELL, Mass.– Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union has named the 2022 recipients of the Steve Jones Legacy Fund. The recipients include the Cooperative Credit Union Association – Bed for a Child, Greater Lowell YMCA, Town of Chelmsford Scholarship Committee, Project Kompass, D'Youville Foundation, and Whistler House Museum of Art.

The credit union established the Steve Jones Legacy Fund through the We Share A Common Thread Foundation in memory of Steve. Jones was a 20-year veteran of the credit union and was well-known throughout Greater Lowell for his compassion, friendly nature, and unwavering commitment to so many organizations in the community. He passed away unexpectedly in September 2016. 

“Steve had a simple but important message, ‘Go Forth & Serve’,” the credit union said. “Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union strives to honor Steve by supporting his mission daily through many community-wide volunteer efforts.”

Representatives from each of the recipient organizations joined the Credit Union at the UMass Lowell River Hawks hockey game 2 to honor and remember Jones, who had an extraordinary impact on the local community.
