Jax FCU Cuts Ribbon on New Branch

JACKSONVILLE, Fla.– Representatives from Jax Federal Credit Union and the City of Jacksonville celebrated the opening of the credit union’s ninth branch, located at 9802 Old Baymeadows Road in Jacksonville. The celebration coincided with International Credit Union Day.

The 5,150-square-foot building boasts a full-service branch, a drive-through service lane and a walk-up ATM. The branch provides personal banking, home mortgages, auto loans, business and investment services. The branch is open six days a week, Monday through Saturday.
As a not-for-profit financial cooperative, Jax Federal Credit Union said it is committed to partnering with nonprofit organizations that operate near its branches and impact the broader First Coast community. During the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Jax Federal Credit Union President & CEO Joe Nowland presented a $900 donation to the Jacksonville School for Autism.

“Credit unions contribute greatly to the Northeast Florida community, and Jax Federal Credit Union is proud to build on our 84-year tradition of service by adding this new location to our branch network,” said Nowland. “This branch will make it more convenient for our members in the Southside and surrounding area to fulfill their banking needs and achieve their financial goals.”

The branch is staffed with nine full-time employees and includes dedicated office space and meeting areas for mortgage loan officers, business services and investment advisors to meet with members.
