Inspire FCU Names Teacher of the Year

BRISTOL, Penn­.–Inspire Federal Credit Union has announced Kathryn Liese from Cecelia Snyder Middle School as the winner of the 2018 Bucks County Teacher of the Year Contest. This year’s contest is sponsored by Sperry Van Ness, Ahia Commercial Real Estate, Kim Rock Group, Keller Williams Real Estate, Lykon Automotive, Peruzzi Nissan, and Levittown Now. 

The top three finalists were invited to Inspire FCU’s Bristol, Penn. Grand Opening Community Event for an award ceremony. Kathryn Liese was awarded $2,500, and $500 was donated to her school. The other finalists, Kathleen Fitzpatrick and Staci Northrup, each received $1,000 and $500 were given to each of their schools. 

Brian Fitzpatrick, U.S. Representative for Pennsylvania's 8th congressional district, was in attendance, and helped recognize the top three finalists of the 2018 Bucks County Teacher of the Year contest, alongside Jim Merrill, Inspire FCU President/CEO, Chichi Ahia, Inspire FCU Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Vince Magyar, Inspire FCU vice chairman of the board.

“Bucks County is home to three exemplary educators. It is an honor and privilege to recognize Kate Liese as the winner of our teacher of the year contest,” Jim Merrill, Inspire FCU President/CEO said “She has served her community and school with passion and dedication. We are proud to announce her as our winner with many community members and local dignitaries in attendance.” 

Over 200 members of the community joined the celebration event throughout the course of the afternoon, and were in attendance to witness the announcement of the teacher of the year winners. Community members enjoyed refreshments and entertainment from local establishments courtesy of Inspire FCU.
