NAPERVILLE, Ill.-The Illinois Credit Union League (ICUL) has named Katherine Romano Schnack as Compliance and Corporate Counsel in its Office of General Counsel. In her role, Romano Schnack will work with the League’s new Accomplus compliance platform and confer with credit unions to address compliance questions.
Romano Schnack comes to the ICU System with private law firm experience and tenure with the Federal Trade Commission in both the Washington, D.C. and Chicago offices.
“A fundamental component of the League’s advocacy on behalf of its affiliated credit unions is to help them interpret and comply with the ever-expanding array of new laws and regulations,” stated Stephen Olson, ICUL EVP and General Counsel. “Katherine’s background and experience will enable us to more effectively address regulatory compliance matters, so our affiliates can serve their members without fear of adverse repercussions.”
