NAPERVILLE, Ill.–The election of officers for the Illinois Credit Union (ICU) Foundation took place at Illinois Credit Union League’s 86thAnnual Convention. Elected to three year terms were: John Fiore, Emeritus MECU; John Hansen, President/ CEO Rockford Bell CU, and Greg Worthen, COO 1st Mid-America CU. Matt McCombs, CEO of Vibrant CU was elected to fill an unexpired board term that ends in 2017. Current board members also include Ann Dubie, CEO of NuMark CU; Janet Francoeur, CEO of Riverside Community CU; Michael Lee, CEO of KCT Credit Union; Thomas Lex, CEO of Heartland CU, and Thomas Pierce, CEO of Midwest Operating Engineers CU.
In addition, the new officers elected are: Chairman, Mike Lee; Vice-Chairman, Tom Lex, and Secretary/Treasurer, Ann Dubie.
In its 38 years of service, the Illinois Credit Union Foundation has awarded more than $3 million in scholarships, community service grants, peer assistance, and natural disaster and emergency aid.
Meanwhile, the league’s table officers were introduced to the delegates by Tom Kane, CEO of Illinois Credit Union League. They include: Alan Meyer, CEO of 1st MidAmerica CU, as Chairman; Sean Rathjen, CEO of Consumers Cooperative CU, as Vice Chairman; and Tim O’Donnell, CEO, of Financial Plus CU, as Secretary /Treasurer.
