WOODBURY, Minn. – The Ideal Credit Union Board of Directors has elected a new slate of officers following its Annual Meeting in April.
Peter S. Olsen was named Chairman of the Board, succeeding Keith E. Hauge, who has served in that capacity since 2014. Robert E. Vance Jr., was elected Vice Chair, and Lisa M. Liddell will serve as Secretary. Olsen and Vance, both incumbents, were recently reelected to 3-year terms on the Ideal CU Board. Also elected to her first 3-year board term was Mary G. Westberg, who has served on the Supervisory Committee since 2017 and became committee chair in 2018. Olsen was first elected to the Ideal CU Board of Directors in 2013. He has served as Vice Chair since 2014. Vance has been on the board since 2000 and Liddell since 2015. All three served on the Supervisory Committee prior to their election to the Board of Directors, the CU said.
Incumbent Board Member Laurie Ludwig did not seek reelection in 2019 and announced her retirement after 17 years of volunteer service to the members of Ideal Credit Union. Ludwig was recognized at the Annual Meeting for her dedication and commitment. Ideal CU President/CEO Brian Sherrick highlighted the exciting changes that have taken place in the past year, which included the introduction of Ideal’s new brand “Live the Ideal Life” and the successful launch of the credit union’s enhanced digital banking platform. “In just the first week of conversion, more than 16,100 members (53.86%) logged into Ideal’s enhanced digital banking platform and mobile banking app, which far exceeded expectations,” Sherrick stated.
