IC FCU Names Winner of Employee Scholarship Program

FITCHBURG, Mass.–The newly-created IC Federal Credit Union Employee Annual Scholarship Award Program announced has chosen two recipients of a $1,500 scholarship. Winners will be either an IC Employee or their dependent high school, college-bound senior.

The eligibility requirements are as follows:

  • An IC employee is eligible if they have been at the credit union for at least one year and work an average of 20 hours or more per week, and are enrolled in a higher education or certificate program.
  • An IC employee dependent family member who is a high school senior enrolled in an undergraduate college degree program during the next academic year.

Renee Mercier, daughter of IC Employee Dwana Mercier in our Risk & Compliance Department, recently graduated from Leominster High School and will be attending Worcester State University in the fall with a major in Communication Sciences and Disorders and a minor in Music. “I one day hope to become a speech pathologist,” said Renee.

Emma Turner, daughter of IC Employee Monica Turner in the CU’s Marketing Department, recently graduated from Millbury High School and will be attending Bridgewater State University in the fall with a major in Communication Sciences and Disorders. “I plan to continue to volunteer for community services through the school and hope to one day get my master’s and become a speech pathologist,” stated Emma.
