FITCHBURG, Mass.–After posing the question, “How would you help the communities in which you live?,” IC FCU has selected the winners of its annual scholarship program.
“It is always a difficult decision to narrow down 5 top applicants out of the many entries received,” said Tony Emerson, President & CEO of IC. “They all presented very well and have great insight for the future of our community. IC has been a vital part locally for over 85 years, and we believe strongly in helping our young people pursue their education. They are our future leaders.”
Scoring criteria was weighted in three areas: grades 40%, essay 30%, and extracurricular activities 30%. Each of the five finalists had a perfect score of 100% and received an award of $1,000.
