IC CU Supports Community Cupboard

MARLBOUROUGH, Mass.– IC Credit Union, in continuing with its newly announced “Empower – A Community Connection” initiative, has made its second donation in the amount of $4,000, this time to the Marlborough Community Cupboard.

“Just yesterday, about 60 people came to pick up fresh fruits and vegetables,” said Director, Barbara LaGrenade. “This year, we have 437 families slated to receive Thanksgiving meals and we’ve been saving for months for this, as it’s an increase of over 40% from last year. This check will cover the purchase of turkeys and we are grateful for this gift.”

“This has been a tough time for many,” added Carolyn Perla, SVP at IC, “and being able to help our community food banks help others, means the world to all of us at IC.”
