DELRAY BEACH, Fla.–IBM Southeast Employees’ Credit Union’s Southeast Credit Union Foundation said it will host the 1st Annual Kilometers for its Community Virtual 5k here on April 21 and April 22.
The mission of the Southeast Credit Union Foundation is to improve the lives of children and families in the communities served by the credit union. All proceeds raised will be donated directly to the foundation and used to support their causes like local scholarship awards and school supplies for children in need.
The Virtual 5K registration is now open for runners and walkers and is sponsored by Visa. All members of the community are welcome to participate or donate. Participants can run or walk at their own pace and at their own time, cross their virtual finish line. With a $35 donation, registrants will receive a commemorative running shirt.
“We love the communities we serve in and want to better the lives of the people living here,” said Stephen Johnson, Director of the Southeast Credit Union Foundation. “This not only is a great opportunity for community members to get active but also to donate to improving lives. We can’t wait to run for our community.”
