MOHEGAN LAKE, N.Y.–Hudson River Financial Federal Credit Union members, employees and school partners raised $500 for Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital as part of Children’s Miracle Network Change a Child’s Life Campaign.
The credit union collected loose change donations during April and May, received contributions from students and staff at Edenwald School in Mount Pleasant, N.Y., and made an additional contribution on behalf of teachers at Hillcrest Elementary School in Peekskill, NY for their efforts in helping local communities.
“Hudson River Financial is thrilled to make this meaningful contribution to Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital” said Thomas J. Powers President and CEO of Hudson River Financial FCU. “We thank all of our members and partners for helping us give to Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital and support the wonderful work they do every day.”
Hudson River Financial FCU said it organizes a variety of initiatives throughout the year to give back to local charities, including Maria Fareri, Treats for Troops, the Putnam/Northern Westchester Women’s Resource Center and more. Beginning in 2019, the credit union began a partnership program with local schools to help teach the value of giving back to students.
