ARLINGTON, Texas--Washima Huq of Texas Trust Credit Union has been named the 2021 Young Professional of the Year by the Cornerstone League.
Huq joined the $1.6 billion credit union in 2017 as a Business Community Engagement Partner. In that role she works to create, develop, and grow community connections and help businesses deliver financial services to their employees.
“Washima is adept at forging relationships with her peers, our partners, and high-ranking executives,” said Debi Knoblock, Assistant Vice President of Texas Trust Credit Union. “Her leadership, heart, and passion for creating inclusive and diverse communities and making a difference in the lives of others is evident in everything she does, making her an ideal up-and-coming credit union professional.”
Knoblock added that Huq “is the embodiment of a credit union leader, and we are proud that she was selected for this prestigious award.”
