MOHEGAN LAKE, N.Y.–– Hudson River Financial FCU members and staff, in partnership with the Edenwald School in Mt. Pleasant, N.Y. and Hillcrest Elementary School in Peekskill, N.Y., donated $425 in gift cards and a variety of household items to the Putnam/Northern Westchester Women’s Resource Center (PNWWRC).
The donations will go towards helping the PNWWRC carry out its mission of providing advocacy, education and services to the community in order to create a safe, supportive environment that eliminates violence against women and children and promotes gender equality.
“We are grateful that our members, community and school partners were able to come together and give back to this worthy cause” said Thomas J. Powers, president and CEO of Hudson River Financial FCU. “The PNWWRC and the work that they do each and every day truly embody the credit union philosophy of ‘People Helping People,’ and being able to help them carry out their mission is truly an honor.”
