HEATH, Ohio—Hopewell Federal Credit Union (HFCU) said it spread some warmth with the donation of warm weather goods to support those in need.
Donated items including blankets, gloves, fleece lined hats, and scarves, totaling to a donation of more than $1,200. These items were delivered by President/CEO Chris Simmons, and Marketing and Business Development Director Audra Johns to the Salvation Army in Newark, Ohio.
Each Friday, Hopewell Federal Credit Union staff members were invited to donate a dollar in exchange for the opportunity to dress in casual attire. This year staff could also participate in a Holiday spirit week with the donation of a dollar. These funds collected throughout the year were then used to purchase items for donation.
“The HFCU team was thrilled that their collective donations went toward such a worthwhile cause,” the credit union said.
