Hopewell FCU Breaks Ground on New Office

HEATH/NEWARK, Ohio— Hopewell Federal Credit Union (HFCU) said it has begun a new chapter in its history with the ceremonial ground breaking of its newest office in Johnstown, Ohio. 

Despite the cold and windy weather, the event was well attended by guests, village council members and existing HFCU members.  Donning the hard hats and breaking the ground was a team of individuals who included Mark Caughenbaugh, Mark Caughenbaugh Construction, LLC, Phil Claggett, Ohio Architect with Northpoint Ohio Architecture, Marvin Oneson, Chief Financial Officer at HFCU, Cledys Henry, HFCU Board of Directors, Secretary, Terry Jackson, HFCU Board of Directors, Treasurer, James G. Johnson, HFCU President and Chief Executive Officer, Eileen Scarrett-Dudgeon, HFCU Board of Directors, Human Resources, Jim Blair, Village of Johnstown Zoning Inspector, Nancy Barker, HFCU Chief Operations Officer, Jim Lenner, Johnstown Village Manager and Jeff Swartz, HFCU Supervisory Board Member.

The 2,100 square-foot building will be located at 635 W. Coshocton Street, Johnstown, Ohio.  This location will be the 3rd office in HFCU’s portfolio.  Construction will be complete in late 2017.
