ROCHESTER, N.H.– Holy Rosary Credit Union (HRCU) held its 53rd Annual Meeting at the Holy Rosary Church Parish Hall here. The event highlighted HRCU’s performance in 2014, previewed 2015 initiatives, and celebrated employee and volunteer achievements.
Guest speaker, Stephen A. Roy, president & CEO of Tricorp Federal Credit Union, set the tone for the night by focusing on HRCU’s active employees and volunteers and their commitment to their community.
“You all have a lot to be proud of at Holy Rosary Credit Union,” said Roy. “First and foremost, engaged volunteers on the board and serving on committees and a team of employees who are dedicated to their members and community.”
Roy’s sentiments rang true later in the night with the recognition of Lucien “Lou” Gagne, who was celebrating 50 years of service to the credit union, dating back to 1965. Gagne, a longtime member of the HRCU Board of Directors, currently serves on the Council of Trustees.
“It is with great pleasure to honor Lou tonight, as he was critical in the growth of our credit union,” said HRCU President & CEO, Brian Hughes. “Not only was he one of our first members and a dedicated volunteer, but as Rochester’s most popular barber, he would always subtly sing the credit union’s praises into the captive ears of his customers.”
Additionally getting recognized for their service to HRCU were Ronald G. Vachon, Robert Langelier, Richard A. Falardeau, Paul Turner and Don R. Doyon. The five have combined for 70 years of service to HRCU as volunteers on the Board of Directors, Supervisory Committee and Council of Trustees.
Brian Hughes was also recognized for 10 years of service as HRCU’s President & CEO.
During the meeting, James Brock, Nancy Gilbert and Kathleen Simoneau were re-elected to three year terms on the Board of Directors, while Barry Checchi, Don Doyon and Constance Hamann were re-elected to three year terms on the Supervisory Committee.
