YORK, Pa. — Heritage Valley Federal Credit Union employees donated $4,785 in 2025 to four local nonprofit organizations through the credit union’s quarterly “Casual for a Cause” program, with contributions matched by the credit union.
The employee-selected recipients included Search 93–South Central PA Search & Rescue; York County C.A.R.E Team (Child Abduction Response Effort); Building Bridges for Brianna, which focuses on mental health awareness and suicide prevention; and Not One More York, which supports efforts to combat opioid addiction.
“Casual for a Cause” allows employees to voluntarily contribute a portion of their paychecks to community organizations, with Heritage Valley matching donations to double the impact.
“Our employees’ commitment to giving back is truly inspiring,” said Mike Gutshall, President & CEO at Heritage Valley FCU. “Their collective efforts make a meaningful impact, and we’re proud to support the causes that matter most to them.”
The initiative reflects Heritage Valley’s broader community engagement strategy and its ongoing support for public safety, mental health, and substance-abuse prevention programs in York County and surrounding areas.
