KAILUA-KONA, Hawaii — Hawaii Community Federal Credit Union’s Kailua-Kona, Kaloko and Kealakekua branches donated more than $9,500 to the 2019 American Cancer Society Relay for Life – Kona event.
The monies were raised through in-branch ribbon sales, staff donations and fundraisers. HCFCU staff also sold ooey gooey “Slime” during the relay, which was a huge hit with kids. The event was held at Hale Halawai in Kailua-Kona.
Relay for Life is a non-profit community fundraising initiative that supports cancer research, acknowledges cancer survivors and remembers those who lost their battle against the disease.
