HANSCOM AFB, Mass.--Hanscom Federal Credit Union's Steve Silva, Vice President of Marketing, was recently honored as a Professional of the Year at the Cooperative Credit Union Association’s (CCUA) awards luncheon during their 2019 Annual Meeting at the Mohegan Sun Resort in Connecticut.
Silva has served in his Hanscom FCU role for 13 years. He is directly involved in every marketing initiative the credit union undertakes, driving growth and ensuring members are apprised of each new product and service initiative. Under his guidance, the Hanscom FCU marketing team has been awarded numerous national and local industry awards. Keeping true to the mission of Hanscom Federal Credit Union’s commitment to the community, Silva is a frequent volunteer at credit union events, such as the Massachusetts Coalition Build a Bed initiative, employee day at Burlington Food Pantry, and the Hanscom FCU Charitable Foundation Memorial Charity Golf Tournament, the CU said.
In addition to his work at Hanscom Federal Credit Union, Silva has been recognized by the city of Lowell for his community volunteer work. He has been an active member of the Highland Sports Association for over 15 years.
