HANSCOM AFB, Mass. – Hanscom Federal Credit Union collected new and unwrapped children’s toys in collection boxes set up at nine of its branches across the state. The toys were donated to the United States Marine Corps Reserves’ annual Toys for Tots drive and will be delivered to local children who need some hope and joy this holiday season.
“The holidays are a time for spreading joy, and that often brings back memories of family, food, and gifts,” said Hanscom FCU Chairman Ray Phillips. “There are families in our own community that are struggling, and children who may not get to have those fond memories of toys this time of year. As a credit union, we believe in the ethos of people helping people, not just as words but as deeds. We’re glad to be able to provide some of our neighbors with these toys, and are thankful for everyone who contributed.”
