The dinner was emceed by Air Force veteran and WCVB anchor Randy Price and featured guest speaker, Marine Corps veteran, and Grammy-nominated musician Shaggy and other honored guests such as Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker.

“We’re proud to be able to support such a worthy cause and help drive attention and funding to their mission," said Paul J. Marotta, chairman of the Foundation. "Supporting veterans is deeply important to us, and we keep Home Base at the top of our Foundation’s priorities.”

Earlier this fall at the Hanscom FCU Charitable Foundation’s Alan M. Hart Memorial Charity Golf Classic, the Foundation pledged to donate $750,000 to Home Base over the next five years, beginning with a contribution of $150,000 presented at the Classic.

Home Base, founded in 2009, is a partnership of the Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital. Based out of Boston, MA, Home Base is the first and largest private-sector clinic in the nation, leading regional and national efforts with a multi-disciplinary team of experts who work together to help service members, veterans, and their families heal from the invisible wounds of traumatic brain injury, post-traumatic stress, and related conditions.
