HAMPTON, Va. – Hampton Roads Educators’ Credit Union announced the election of Kelvin Evans, Keisha Samuels, Donald Sandridge and Gloria Winder to the Board of Directors. The election was held during HRECU’s 64th Annual Meeting.
Kelvin Evans has served on the Board for eight years and a member since 2002. He currently serves on the Budget, Education and Scholarship Committees. Evans is the Director of Strategic Planning for the School System of Philadelphia.
Keisha Samuels was newly elected to the HRECU Board. She has been a Credit Union member since 2001. Her program development, previous board experience and conflict mediation skills will be an asset to the Credit Union. Samuels is the Assistant Professor of Human Services and Dept. Chair at Thomas Nelson Community College.
Donald Sandridge has served on the Board for 10 years and is currently the Treasurer. He also serves on the Budget, Education and Scholarship Committees. Sandridge has been a member of the Credit Union since 1980 and is retired from the Gloucester County Schools.
Gloria Winder has served on the Board for 10 years. She currently serves on the Credit Union Policies, Elections and Personnel Policies Committees. She retired in 2017 from the Williamsburg-James City County School System and has been a Credit Union member since 1980.
The remaining Board members include: Cornelious Chambliss, Chairman; Anita Holley, 2nd Vice Chairman; Jacqueline Smith-Watson, Secretary; Lynda Burke, Director; Joressa Chappell, Director; and William F. Trimble, Jr., Director Emeritus.
