BASTROP, Texas--– Graduating seniors from Bastrop, Cedar Creek, Elgin and Smithville High School were awarded their 2014 B.E.S.T. Scholarship checks from Greater TEXAS Federal Credit Union.
The scholarship recipients received $500 each to go towards furthering their education and their college tuition. The winning students were Chelsea Perry, Bastrop High School; Caitlyn Oppermann, Cedar Creek High School; William Cox, Elgin High School; and Kyle Schmidt, Smithville High School.
Bastrop, Cedar Creek, Elgin and Smithville Seniors submitted applications at last year’s 2014 B.E.S.T. (Bastrop, Elgin, Smithville, Texas) College Night, underwritten and sponsored by GTFCU and held in Bastrop, Texas. The scholarship winners were chosen through a panel of judges and credit union representatives.
