Greater Nevada CU Breaks Ground on New Branch

CARSON CITY, Nev.– Greater Nevada Credit Union (GNCU) hosted a groundbreaking event for its new free-standing, full-service branch located on the corner of 12th and Idaho streets. The branch, scheduled to open late summer of 2020, will feature personal service from local GNCU staff, video-lending capabilities, drive-up Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs) and more.

Local dignitaries attending the groundbreaking ceremony included City of Elko Mayor Reece Keener and Elko Area Chamber of Commerce CEO Billie Crapo.

“GNCU is thrilled to be adding another location to serve Nevadans in Elko County,” GNCU Vice President Members Services Tom Wambaugh said. “The support we have received from the local community is incredible and humbling. We’re proud to be in Elko and we look forward to further improving the lives of our members and businesses here.”

GNCU has served the Elko community with its current credit union branch located inside the Walmart Supercenter on Mountain City Highway, and its subsidiary Greater Nevada Mortgage office located on Railroad Street. With the expanding footprint that will include the new branch, GNCU said it is committed to its passion “To Help More People Live Greater” by providing even more access to personal and business banking products and services to eastern Nevadans.
