Great Lakes CU Branches Continue Acts of Kindness

BANNOCKBURN, Ill.– Great Lakes Credit Union’s (GLCU) employees continue to go out of their way to complete various random acts of kindness. GLCU’s Woodstock, North Chicago, and Gurnee branches recently paid it forward in their own unique way.

Woodstock employees donated women’s clothing to the Pioneer Center for Human Services. Woodstock’s Branch Manager, Kelly Golemba commented, “I’m so glad we were able to support an organization that gives so much back to the community!” The Pioneer Center for Human Services utilizes its programs to engage people of all abilities through innovative and compassionate services.

North Chicago employees were eager to donate to Furthering the Lives of Youth event. Leilani Goldsmith, North Chicago’s Branch Manager, stated, “We are always excited to be able to help out the kids in the community.” The event will take place in July and will be a safe, fun, interactive, and free experience for the children.

Gurnee employees recently surprised 30 members with Wendy’s and Portillo’s gift cards. Gurnee Branch Manager, Erica Carrillo mentioned, “Our members were so excited that lunch was on us for the day!” This is Gurnee branch’s first Random Act of Kindness this year!

All year long employees at GLCU branches will perform various random acts of kindness as a way to make a direct impact and give back to their communities. Stay tuned for the next Random Act of Kindness!
