SACRAMENTO, Calif.—Golden 1 CU here said that when it awards 33 new scholarships valued at $386,000 in 2015, it will surpass $1.14 million in total scholarship funding since its program began in 2013.
Applications for the Golden 1 Credit Union Scholarships that will be awarded in 2015 are now being accepted through January 15.
“These scholarships are different from most because they are renewable for two-to-four years,” said CEO Donna Bland. “They support California’s future leaders and help families and students achieve their dreams of a brighter future.”
Golden 1 Credit Union Scholarships provide members and their dependents two- and four-year financial assistance valued at up to $20,000 per student for full-time students who plan to attend accredited, nonprofit colleges and universities in California during the 2015-2016 school year.
