MADISON, Wis.–Eleni Giakoumopoulos has been named as the new Corporate Communications Manager at the World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU). Under the supervision of the Chief Operating Officer, Giakoumopoulos will be responsible for the tactical and strategic management of World Council’s corporate communications.
Giakoumopoulos comes to the World Council with over 20 years of international experience working in 15 countries in western, central and eastern Europe. Prior to joining the World Council, she worked for consultancies funding European Union projects, an educational organization in Northern Greece and an international finance institution supporting economic development and regional cooperation in the Black Sea Region. Her work covered communications project management, content development for print and electronic publications, and enhancing corporate digital presence.
Giakoumopoulos is a member of the International Association of Business Communicators, holds a master’s degree in global marketing from the University of Liverpool and also speaks Greek.
