Gesa CU Opens Its First Branch Outside of Home State

POST FALLS, Idaho ‒ Gesa Credit Union has opened its newest full-service branch here, its first outside of its home state of Washington.

The new facility, located at 317 S. Beck Road, is the Richland, Wash.-based credit union’s 29th branch.

In honor of the grand opening, Gesa said it will be hosting a month-long community-driven celebration that includes giveaways at the branch, local business appreciation events, and donations to local hero organizations.

“This is a significant milestone for us as we extend outside of Washington for the first time and are honored to join the Post Falls community,” said Nathaniel Prior, VP-branches at Gesa Credit Union."The community here has been nothing short of welcoming since we first announced our plans to bring a branch here. As the month goes on, we cannot wait to meet more people and learn more about their needs so that we can best serve Post Falls for the years to come.”

Throughout April, Gesa will offer branded swag items and the exciting opportunity to enter and win various prizes.

To further show its support and appreciation for the Post Falls community, some of the activities Gesa will put on include:

  • Making donations to non-profits such as Newby-Ginnings
  • Conducting drop-offs at local hero organizations
  • Hosting a kids’ book reading station at the branch to celebrate International Children’s Book Day.

The credit union said the new location serves as a hub branch for Gesa’s expanding presence in Idaho, joining Gesa’s Commercial Loan Center located in Coeur D’Alene, Idaho.
