DULUTH, Ga.–Georgia United Credit Union’s lending team has been recognized among the best and brightest by the CUNA Lending Council.
Georgia United’s entry, titled “Incremental Changes Bring Big Results,” was submitted in the Consumer Lending category and earned an Excellence in Lending Award.
“The consumer lending team and our retail lenders have worked tirelessly over the last several years to improve operations and ultimately serve more members with their consumer lending needs,” said Stephanie Zuleger, Georgia United’s chief lending officer. “This award is validation of Georgia United’s organizational-wide efforts to grow consumer lending to serve our members more efficiently, and we thank CUNA for this prominent recognition.”
With a concerted focus on consumer lending, Georgia United said it achieved more than 27% in loan growth in 2021, and more than 47% in loan portfolio growth in the last three years. In addition, loan application volume increased by more than $124.7 million from July 2021 to July 2022.
