DULUTH, Ga. – After pledging $1 dollar to local food bank for every Fight Hunger post made on its Facebook page, Georgia United Credit Union has donated $5,000 was distributed among four local community food banks.
The four food banks are:
- Atlanta Community Food Bank - $2,000
- Laurens Baptist Association - $1,000
- Dalton’s Greater Works - $1,000
- Food Bank of Northeast Georgia - $1,000
“Georgia United is committed to improving the lives of our members, team members and the communities we serve,” stated Community Development Officer Liz Riffert. “The pandemic has made this year especially challenging and food banks across Georgia are experiencing an increase in demand. The Fight Hunger challenge is a rewarding and fun way for members and team members to help their neighbors in need.”
