AUBURN HILLS, Mich.--Genisys Credit Union is backing the “Don’t Be a Monster” campaign, an effort to combat bullying. GCU is working to spread that message to local students by partnering with Erebus Haunted Attraction and Olympia Entertainment to bring the national program to local middle schools in southeast Michigan, seeking to educate youth about bullying, diversity and inclusiveness while empowering them to stand up for their peers and make positive choices for themselves.
Meanwhile, Genisys CU has also awarded the 2014 Dianne Addington Community Leadership scholarship to local Baker College student Michael Vickers. The $2,000 scholarship was created in honor of former CEO, Dianne Addington, who retired in 2010. Addington served on many boards in the community throughout her career, including the Baker College of Auburn Hills Board of Regents.
