Garden Savings Raises $22K for Charities

PARSIPPANY, N.J.–Garden Savings FCU  raised $22,000 for two local charitable groups at its 10th Annual Golf Outing.

The outing was attended by nearly 100 credit union professionals and industry business leaders. The proceeds will be divided between The Children’s Specialized Hospital of New Brunswick (CU4 Kids) and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Coastal & Northern New Jersey.

“Helping organizations such as these is truly what we are all about,” said Garden Savings FCU President and CEO Lou Vetere. “Credit unions are formed on the premise of people helping people and we believe that this outing embodies that philosophy to a tee. It is our pleasure to support such altruistic groups.”

The credit union’s incoming president and CEO upon Vetere’s retirement at the end of the year, Michael Powers, added, “This was our tenth annual golf outing and I can promise to these groups and to our members that there will be many more to come. Nothing is more rewarding than helping others and we remain committed to assisting them, and others, as often as possibly can.”
