WASHINGTON – Democracy FCU reported it significantly exceeded its $500 goal in raising funds for the Red Nose Charity when it raised $5,349 as part of Red Nose Day.
The Red Nose organization is dedicated to raising money for children and young people living in poverty across the world.
Democracy FCU took part in the fundraising efforts three days before Red Nose ended, and reached out to its staff, members and close organizations to participate.
“Democracy FCU principles and values are parallel with the Red Nose Charity. Our efforts and contributions from our staff, members and supporting organizations truly illustrates that child poverty is a serious issue which no child or young adult should endure. I speak for all of Democracy FCU, that we are happy to support the efforts to end poverty,” said aid Kathy Geary, CEO of Democracy Federal Credit Union.
