OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla.–Three years after developing a program to save residents in Oklahoma’s Tri-City area $200,000 in loan-interest, Focus FCU has awarded $5,000 to each of four schools as part of a follow up program called “Support Our Schools.”
“Strengthening our local communities is at the heart of everything we do here at Focus FCU” says Kyle Roush, president/CEO. “We knew we wanted to concentrate on the Tri-City area, and we wanted to donate to the schools to help with critical programs being cut during these times”
When the savings goal was met, Focus FCU awarded $5,000 to each of four schools: Newcastle, Tuttle, Bridge Creek, and Blanchard Public Schools.
“It was perfect timing to be able to give these checks now during the Pandemic. We know our local schools are struggling and we were glad to able to help them during this difficult time,” said Abigail Cabello, community relations representative.
