ALBANY, N.Y. – First New York Federal Credit Union was presented with UsNet’s annual Ralph W. Hillman Marketing Award during the New York Credit Union Association’s 2015 Annual Meeting & Convention. The award is named after the former UsNet chairman, and it recognizes the shared branching marketing efforts of a participating UsNet credit union.
The New York-based credit union service organization presented the award to First New York FCU for their commitment to shared branching promotions, promoting the benefits of shared branching to members and helping to build greater awareness through marketing campaigns.
As a result of their efforts, member usage of the network increased by 28% in 2014, and branch activity increased by 38% at First New York FCU’s seven shared branch locations.
“Ralph Hillman was a true leader and an advocate for shared branching, and we are proud to celebrate his legacy by presenting this award to First New York FCU,” said Bill Bywater, vice president of UsNet. “Sharing and cooperation are core pillars of the credit union movement, and First New York’s commitment to these principals has benefitted the entire shared branching network.”
