First New York Donates School Supplies

ALBANY, N.Y. – First New York FCU donated school supplies to the Schenectady City School District Office for distribution to the elementary and middle school locations.

“While America's teachers work to navigate the educational challenges presented by COVID-19, the need for school supplies is more significant than ever,” the credit union said.

First New York has a long traditions of helping schools kick off the school year, and this year partnered with the Schenectady City School District.  The donation will help the school district supply their students with school supplies that have been difficult to obtain during these trying times resulting from the pandemic.

The donation includes 450 backpacks stuffed with school supplies, along with 1,200 pocket folders, 900 spiral notebooks, 260 boxes of crayons and 700 highlighters to go out to the elementary and middle schools throughout the district.
