LOS ANGELES--First Entertainment Credit Union has introduced its Member Stories video series, which aims to honor, inspire and uplift the community by celebrating the career paths and experiences of its talented members, the credit union said.
“The Member Stories series allows us to turn the lens inward and have an intimate look into the personal and professional lives of the creators we support,” said Stephen Owen, president and Chief Executive Officer at First Entertainment Credit Union. “Each video highlights what makes our member successful in the entertainment industry. From makeup artists and set designers to producers and actors, Member Stories celebrates the fascinating careers and trajectories within Hollywood that our community encompasses.”
The first video in the series showcases Production Designer and Art Director Lindsey Moran. Moran, a Santa Barbara native whose production credits include The Hunger Games, America’s Got Talent, and many more, as well as designing Yellowstone Film Ranch, “shares her inspiring stories and challenges along the way,” according to First Entertainment.
“My family, despite being from Santa Barbara, didn't have a ton of money,” said Moran. “My mom was friends with the director of the Santa Barbara Youth Dance Theater that I would go to as a kid. My mom was a painter and we got a discount at the cost that [she] had to help with the sets. And I was right there with her, painting backdrops. That's really what started the inspiration for being in set design. It's really been something that I've done my whole life and I've never stopped.”
Moran credits her success in the industry to the relationships she’s built throughout her professional career.
“The most important thing I've found along the way is the network of people that I've created and grown with throughout the years. It's pretty incredible to watch the network of people that you came up with start to do well. All of us encouraging each other and helping each other helps us get to a better place.”
