BURNSVILLE, Minn.–Students and faculty from Dakota County Technical College (DCTC) attended the 2017 Business Professionals of America (BPA) National Leadership Conference. Firefly Credit Union employee, Marta Roth was in attendance, winning several academic honors.
Business Professionals of America is the premier organization for students pursuing careers in business management, office administration, information technology and other related career fields. At the recent conference, BPA students participated in a range of competitions, tours and workshops, showcasing their business intelligence and leadership skills.
Roth, a part time Member Service Representative for Firefly, was a repeated name at the Conference award ceremony, taking home a handful of awards, including the highly sought after Ambassador Award, which spotlights a top BPA student. Roth’s hard work had clearly paid off.
“I’m learning a lot about finance on the job,” said Roth about her experience working at Firefly. “I want other people to learn about finance, too. I want to help families make the best decisions they can about money.”
