BURNSVILLE, Minn.–Firefly Credit Union and TruStone Financial Federal Credit Union, which are in the process of seeking to merge, partnered with KDWB to raise money for Second Harvest Heartland for CU Forward Day. CU Forward Day is a day dedicated to credit unions’ commitment to giving back to their communities and is overseen by the Minnesota Credit Union Network.
On October 12th, Firefly and TruStone came together to invite the community to donate their loose change at either credit union’s branch locations as part of KDWB’s Change for Change event. Through generous community member participation, the credit unions raised a total of $4,000 for Second Harvest Heartland.
The partnership between Firefly and TruStone for CU Forward Day is just the beginning of the many charitable efforts for the organizations, the credit unions said.
